Kroger/Fred Meyer- order never received

Submitted Experience-

Ordered groceries for delivery from the Fred Meyer website. Were supposed to be delivered the next day. The day of delivery when the delivery time neared we received a text that it was delayed a half an hour. Six messages later we were pushed back something like 5 hours. The groceries were not delivered that evening. They were not delivered the next day. Over a week later we are still waiting for the groceries.

The submitter waited a day to see if the order would show up. When it didn’t they called the Fred Meyer store. The response from the store was that they have nothing to do with the website orders and the person would have to call the merchant who provides the shopping cart check out for fredmeyer.com. Next they called the customer service number listed on the order page of their account with fredmeyer.com and reached an automated service that informed them that due to the high number of calls they were not taking any calls and hung up on them. They then tried to reach the shopping cart vendor. Their answering service said that it would be more than an hour wait time to talk to someone. The submitter did not have an hour to wait at the time.

In this time of the coronavirus and government orders to isolate, the submitter is over 60 and has underlying health conditions. Because the groceries were never delivered they will have to leave their home, go to the store and subject themselves to possible exposure in order to have food.
